Our mission is to rally the community to support and
create lasting solutions for homeless Rochesterians.
We aim to bring together community volunteers to partner with city government, non-profits and the private sector to provide a one-stop shop of health and human services for homeless Rochesterians. Services include medical, mental health, substance abuse, housing, dental, SSI benefits, legal counseling, eyeglasses, New York ID, food, voicemail, employment counseling and job placement, wheelchair repair and more.
PHCR is a one-day, “one-stop shop” event on one day each fall, serving people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
The goal is to provide information and connection to essential, ongoing services such as:
Improve access to services and housing for Rochesterians facing homelessness.
Engage and increase the collaborative involvement of consumers, business, non-profit community, and individual volunteers to work together to create solutions.
To improve the system of care by creating opportunities for collaboration and sharing of best practices among Rochester’s homeless provider community.
Leverage private, corporate and foundation money and in-kind support to augment government efforts to increase housing options and build service capacity for Rochesterians facing homelessness.
